The Lincolnshire County Cricket Premier league is turning out to be one of the most exciting ever.
Four teams are battling it out for top spot occupied at the moment by Alford and District though with each a game in hand, Cherry Willingham and Bracebridge Heath 2nd X1 are adding pressure on the leaders.
In Saturday’s game at Barton the match was abandoned due to the weather giving Scothern eight points which takes them up to third in the league.
Bracebridge Heath 2nds scored a convincing six-wicket victory against Outcasts thanks mainly to an excellent all round performance by captain Silva who took four wickets and hit 46 runs.
Cherry Willingham had an equally convincing win over Messingham. Cherry skittled out their opponents for 116 after an excellent effort by Jack Bayliss who took four wickets for 31 runs and then proceeded to hit 117 for five giving them a five wicket win.
Hartsholme had a much-needed victory in their efforts to move away from the lower regions of the table.
The Lincoln outfit beat Market Rasen by 49 runs thanks mainly to the efforts of Josh Pickersgill and Jason Roberts who each took four Rasen wickets.
