Just over three months to go to Lincoln’s inaugural half marathon and I have begun training after being out of action due to a very painful bout of sciatica.
I have stretched and stretched some more down at the gym, in the park and on the way to Tesco. There is no other way. I am convinced. Painkillers have helped but they don’t cure.
Now I have started putting in three miles a day. I only jog as I don’t want the agony of excruciating back pain again. Patience is the word. As for a target? Get round the 13.1 miles without stopping.
