There was no doubting who was man of the match in Scothern’s 111 run victory over Holton-le-Clay at the weekend.

Jack Lawson plundered a half century and then went on to take five Holton wickets for 32.

In the derby of the day Bracebridge Heath 2nd x1 beat Hartsholme by five wickets thanks to some tidy bowling from Himesh Silva who took three for 17 and a solid knock of 39 by Graham McDowell.

Cherry Willingham picked up 20 points after their 91 runs wins over Scunthorpe.

Craig Cosgrove hit a fine 64 and Joe Dobson chipped in with a magnificent six wickets for 22.

The weekend results make the ECB Premier League look increasingly tight.

Alford CC take the top spot on 145 points with Scothern only six points behind.

Cherry sit third on 138 whilst Bracebridge occupy fifth place with 122 points.

Hartsholme are second-bottom on a meagre 56.
