Groundsman Mark Jenkinson looks proudly at his pride and joy every day. No not his car nor his garden but the playing surface down at Lincoln Moorlands Football Club.

Forty-year-old Lincoln-born Mark has been keeping the Moors ground in pristine condition for a couple of seasons and now aims to be part of the exciting three year plan put in place by Director of Football Ken Oliver.

After his playing career was cut short through injury at the age of 27 the former Port Vale trialist and Lincoln City Youth team player decided to combine coaching with his duties as groundsman.

Mark’s ambitions are to eventually manage a local club but for the moment his heart and soul belongs to Lincoln Moorlands.
