Target Sprint is an internationally recognized air rifle discipline that combines running with target shooting.
The last event in the national series took place at the Lincoln Castle Academy on Wednesday 18th May.
The course is short (think bite size biathlon swapping skis for running shoes) and is interspersed with shooting knockdown targets.
First past the post wins in this contest of accuracy and athleticism.
Organizer Dave Carter said: “Target sprint is a new sport developed by British Shooting.
” Close on 80 students took part in a fantastic event leading to qualification for the national finals in Cardiff in July.
“Everyone left with a smile on their face.”
