Almost 60 per cent of people in Lincolnshire do less than 30 minutes activity each week.
Sport England plan to change this and have introduced a new strategy to encourage the population to get more active.
Within the county Lincolnshire Sport is targeting hard to reach groups including people with disabilities and the older population as part of its plan to encourage more people to take part in physical activity.
Chief Executive Officer Janet Inman said: “Being active doesn’t have to include any previous experience. Something as simple as walking counts as exercise.
” There are plenty of opportunities across our great county to be more active and have fun.
