RETURNING TO RUNNING

It isn’t always easy pulling on your trainers and pounding the pavements after a long lay off.

You can read all the motivational books you like and they still won’t help. I may have the answer. Join a club.

Last night I went to Yarborough Leisure Centre and met up with some people from Lakeside Lincoln Running Club and a friendlier bunch I have yet to meet.

After completing a six mile circuit to Burton I was left with a feeling of achievement even though I had to walk up one hill.

So there’s the answer. Run with other people. Make new friends and re-invent your running prowess.
