The girls from the Lincolnshire Bombers roller derby team hosted Rebellion Roller Deby, Bedford in the British championships at Grimsby on Sunday.

The home side started strongly and took an early lead in what was a fast-paced and hard-hitting encounter.

The visitors went on to win the match 244-146 but Bombers captain Christy ‘Razzo’ Robinson said: “We had a great time playing against Rebellion.

“It was a really physical game and we thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

“Rebellion may have taken the win but we took away a great sense of achievement.”

The Lincolnshire Bombers are next in action on June 12th against Suffolk Roller Derby hosted by Borderland Brawlers in Peterborough.
