Lincoln United put the nightmares of last weekend’s 9-0 thrashing by Leek Town firmly behind them after their 2-0 win at Loughborough Dynamo yesterday
The Whites were once again hit by injuries but with a couple of new faces in the line-up, they produced an all-out, energetic performance resulting in a deserved win.
Sam Wilkinson’s men took the lead in the first minute when new striker, Paul Grimes set up Jack McGovern who gave the Loughborough keeper no chance.
United continued to dominate and it was no surprise when Matt Cotton scored a magnificent goal to double the lead.
The Whites kept the home side at bay after the break and indeed created several more chances to increase their lead.
The loyal, travelling fans applauded their team off at the end and after a grim week, things at Lincoln United are suddenly looking much more positive again.
