Here is what Whites boss Big Sam Wilkinson had to say about the first home league win of the season in the Evo-Stik South League on Wednesday evening.
“I am obviously delighted. We finally took our chances tonight. We asked more questions of the opposition and crossed the ball more.
“We always thought that type of result was going to come. We were disappointed to concede a poor goal in the first half but I always thought that we would get back in the game.
“I thought the first half was pretty even. We chose to do the basics better and went longer earlier than we normally would.
“We were clinical in front of goal although we did have a little bit of luck with our second goal.
“I am delighted for Jack Wightwick for the way he played.
“He has so much ability. We just want to see it more often. We need him to get that consistency.
“Scoring five goals has given us a lot of confidence.
“Saturday’s game at Gresley will be tough and we will have to prepare well for it.
“However, we will be going into the match full of confidence.”
