Here is what Whites’ boss, Sam Wilkinson said following his team’s 4-1 win over Belper Town on Tuesday evening in the FA Cup Preliminary Round replay.
“Obviously it was a really good performance tonight.
“It was similar to Saturday’s match in some ways but I thought we were clinical finishing off our chances tonight.
“Overall I am delighted with the performance.
“We had a little spell twenty minutes before half-time when Belper did really well and put us on the back foot but we addressed that at half-time when we told the lads we needed to be more solid.
“Again we told them about keeping things simple and actually played attractive attacking football by doing the basics really well and making it look easy at times.
“I thought the two centre midfielders were excellent. They gave our so-called flair players the licence to get at their full backs.
“Of course, we would love to play that way every week. At the end of the day it is a results’ business. We would have taken a scruffy 1-0 win here, don’t get me wrong.
“Credit to the lads. They were first-class. They listened to what we had to say at half-time. We were quite stern with them and told them we needed to do better.
“The back four, in the second half especially, made it look quite easy and it wasn’t easy. Belper still put us under pressure at times and maybe they could have got back to 3-2.
“Jake was talking to them constantly. He made a great save last Saturday to keep us in the game so the whole back five was very good.
“The next round will be tough to be honest but it is a good thing is we are at home.
“We know the standard is better with them being a league above. We know it will be a very tough task but we did it against higher teams last year so we like to think we will be able to give them a really good game and hopefully win the tie.”
