After winning 3-1 at Chasetown on Saturday, Lincoln United were held to 0-0 draw by Peterborough Sports on Wednesday evening at the Sun Hat Villas.
Chances were few and far between and neither keeper had a shot to save.
Whites’ boss, Sam Wilkinson said: “We dominated the second half without really creating any real chances apart from the one Conner had.
“We didn’t make their keeper work enough which was a bit disappointing.
The pleasing thing is that we were solid defensively.
“In football you can’t pick and choose when you win or draw.
“You have just got to make sure you get points on the board early season which is something we have done.
“We need to do better in the final third and I don’t think we started tonight’s game particularly well.
“I think we should have started quicker and with more quality.
“Maybe they wouldn’t have been able to defend for longer spells if we had done.
“Peterborough came with a game plan and were delighted with the draw.
“Credit to them, they defended well.
“However, as much as we are disappointed, it’s still four points from two games.”
