WHITES AND IMPS: UNITED BY COMMON GOALS

Lincoln is a thriving city.

Its two major football clubs have grabbed the imagination of fans with their ambitious plans.

Lincoln City aim to reach League One by the end of the season and judging by the success the club enjoyed during the last campaign, there´s no reason to suggest otherwise.

Over at Ashby Avenue, Lincoln United will be striving for the promotion that was within their grasp in April.

Both clubs have two young management teams with similar qualities.

Danny and Nicky Cowley have proved that relentless hard work, enthusiasm and a sound knowledge of the game pay dividends.

Check the Imps´trophy cabinet for proof.

Big Sam Wilkinson and Chris Hall have formed a partnership at the Sun Hat Villas that led to success in the Lincolnshire FA County Cup and excellent runs in the FA Cup and FA Trophy, not to mention a place just outside the play-offs.

There is much to look forward to in August.

Two clubs with a burning ambition to give their supporters more success.

Lincoln is certainly a city on the move.

Both its senior football clubs are aiming high.

This time next year we will have found out how much further forward they have moved.

I believe the Lincoln juggernaut will take some stopping!!
