Local rider Amy Lacey finished just outside the top ten on her horse Jasmine at the Shelford Horse Trials yesterday.
This was an improvement by three positions on last week’s 15th place at Eland Farm.
Amy said: “Jasmine picked up on my tension going into the dressage arena.
“She did some nice work though and we came away with a score of 41.
“In the show jumping Jasmine was affected by the hard going and had three fences down.
“By this point the heat was really getting to me but I just kept drinking water.
“Mum was brilliant helping me with the tack and clothing changes.
“The cross country was amazing. Jasmine felt fantastic and really motored round the course.
“I could not be more happy in my first ever BE event and I can’t wait for the next one.”
