One year on from her first one day event, local rider Amy Lacey competed at Eland Lodge yesterday and gained a very creditable 15th place in the competition.
She said: “It was a beautiful course with a lovely surface.
“After arriving late and rushing to get checked in we only had 10 minutes to warm up for the dressage.
“Jasmine couldn’t concentrate because stable mate Cruise was nearby and as a result the dressage was the worst she has done!
“However on a positive note, I rode well and we got some good marks for our transitions.
“Jasmine warmed up beautifully for the show jumping and she was much happier on a surface which wasn’t too hard.
“We really felt like a team and we came out with a clear round for the first time this season.
“Jasmine fired out of the start box in the cross country like a race horse rather than the half-plough horse she is.
“She fired round and as we approached the scary fence I really rode her in and she sailed over it.
“I’m over the moon with our first double clear of the year and can’t wait for Shelford at the weekend.”
