Dave Frecklington has put pen to paper and signed a two year deal at Gainsborough Trinity as Manager following the survival of the Holy Blues in the National League (North) last weekend.

Frecklington’s assistant,Terry Fleming has followed suit in a move set to give the club some much- needed stability.

The management team can now put their own stamp on the team, bringing in those players they identify as being able to take the football club forwards.

Club captain, Nathan Jarman has agreed a reduced terms deal to stay at the club, with the front man vowing to find his form in front of goal next season, despite having more substantial offers from elsewhere in the National League North.

Defensive lynch pins Chris Salt and Michael Jacklin have committed their longer term futures to the club, having arrived late on in the season and impressing as part of a resilient rear-guard that saw the Holy Blues keep clean sheets against teams in contention for the play-offs.

Popular utility man Thomas Davie also extends his stay having initially re-signed on loan from Bradford Park Avenue.

Dave Frecklington has already met with all members of the squad that ended the 2016/17 season with the club and has made offers to those he wants.
He has been delighted with the response from the group.
