Keeton scores four as Lincoln thrash Kesteven
Jake Keeton crossed for four tries as Lincoln completed a 16-try demolition with a 92-5 win over county rivals Kesteven.
The game was played as a double header due to Kesteven calling off the previous encounter earlier in the season and Lincoln made their dominance known right from the start.
Man of the match John Feeney along with Kodi Strand and Brad Nixon scored two tries apiece with the latter adding four conversions.
Mitch Ashworth, Ben Green, Chris Tan, Jack Miles, George Pomfret and Jack Seward also got their names on the scoresheet, while Keeton kicked two conversions.
It was a great victory for Lincoln in what has been an excellent month, with Aaron Bird’s men winning three out of their four games in March.
After the match coach Bird said: “The lads turned up and played some good rugby and scored some good tries.
“Fair play to Kesteven who kept going and got a try but that fired up our team and showed our determination to be unsatisfied with any opponents’ score.
“Some of the tries were excellent and straight off the training ground.
“Overall it was a good effort.
“It was good to see the young lads again doing well and old favourites like Ben Green returning from injury.”
