LINCOLN 10K: COUNTDOWN TO THE BIG DAY

One of the biggest local sporting events of the year takes place this Sunday.

The Lincoln 10k attracts runners from all over the country aiming to smash their personal best on the flat, picturesque course.

If you are classed as an ‘improver’ this is the type of training you should be doing this week in the build-up to the race:

Monday: 20 minutes easy run

Tuesday: Rest

Wednesday: 10 minute easy run, ( 3×1 minute tempo runs, 2 minute jog recovery) 10 minute easy run.

Thursday: Rest

Friday: 10 minute easy run

Saturday: Rest

Sunday: Race Day.
