HOCKEY: LINDUM LADIES REACHING NEW HEIGHTS

Lindum Ladies 5th team were awarded victory over bottom side Epworth this weekend guaranteeing a top two finish in Yorkshire Division 6 East.
Captain Laura Latarche said: “This is a fabulous bunch of players. It has been an honour to serve as their captain. I am so proud”
The Ladies 3rd team are almost guaranteed promotion from Yorkshire Division 4 South after a 5-1 victory over 4th-placed Dronfield.
With other results going their way, they sit top on goal difference ahead of Sheffield Hallam 3rds and Hull Hawks 1sts who play each other in the final game of the season.
Victory for Lindum next weekend against Sheffield University Bankers 3rds guarantees the league title. They can still win the title with a draw, if the game between Hallam and Hull ends in a draw. Even a small loss could be enough for promotion.
Captain Kerry Rough will be hoping to finish on a high however with victory and the title. The game takes place at 16:30 on Saturday at the Lindum Sports Association.
Any spectators are more than welcome.
