Gainsborough Trinity find themselves in the drop zone after losing lost 2-1 to runaway leaders AFC Fylde on Saturday at the Northolme.

The visitors took the lead just before the break when the league’s leading marksman Danny Rowe lobbed keeper Tom Nicholson.

The Holy Blues grew into the game in the second half and equalised through a Jordan Thewlis penalty.

In the 75th minute Rowe hit the winner for Fylde to maintain their 11 point lead at the top of the National League (North).
