THE THOUGHTS OF BIG SAM WILKINSON

Lincoln United have now gone eight games unbeaten and during that time they have won six and drawn two.

Last night the Whites travelled to Northwich Victoria where they collected all three points following a 3-1 win.

SposrtLinc caught up with Whites’ boss Big Sam Wilkinson to get his thoughts on the game.

He said: “It was another great three points.

“We had a difficult trip which wasn’t the best preparation for the match as players were rushing from work to make what turned out to be a four hour journey.

“We arrived at 7.10pm but I have to say the attitude of the lads was top notch as always.

“There is a real hunger in this team at the moment which you could feel in the warm up and in the dressing room.

“We started the game really well with a high tempo and some very good moves.

“Northwich were always a threat on the break so we had to defend well which we did all night.

“They scored against the run of play with a great strike out of nothing.

“We settled down again and began to play some great stuff.

“It was one-way traffic in the second half and we missed chance after chance.

“Their keeper kept them in it for a while but our quality shone through in the end.

“We are on a great run but we can’t rest on our laurels.

“We have to keep winning games to get where we want to be.

“We have got a great belief in each other and aim to keep this run going.”

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE WHITE SIDE OF LIFE.
