The Men’s First Team earned a 4-4 draw away to Newcastle University. The first 15 minutes was all Lindum, with Ric Corbett netting a hat-trick before a quarter of the game had passed. The students hit back though and defensive errors cost Lindum who found themselves 4-3 down early in the second half. They rallied together and Corbett scored his, and Lindum’s, fourth to secure a point that guarantees safety in NHML Division One for another year.

The Men’s Seconds found themselves two goals up against local rivals Grimsby with James Youngman and Louie Sadler both finding the net. They were pegged back, but Mark Davies was on hand with 3 minutes to play to get the all-important winner, and push the side closer to safety in YHA Premier.

The Men’s Thirds had one of the more bizarre results of the season, losing 23-1 (no that is not a typo) to league leaders Doncaster 3rds. Josh Hughes had equalised for the Lindum outfit, but a combination of luck and skill saw Doncaster fire goals in from left, right and centre.

The Men’s Fourths threw away a 5-goal lead, drawing 5-5. However, Doncaster 4ths were leading the way prior to the game, so in hindsight, a superb result. Jack Rounsley scored two, with Ben Nicholson, Kev White and Josh Freeman adding to the scoresheet. Following a recent run of good form, the fourths look to be safe in their league.

The Men’s Fifths faced Doncaster 5ths and were defeated 7-1. Captain John Simpson scored their solitary goal. The fifths have struggled in the division this season and are already relegated going into the final few games.

The Men’s Development Side put in a spirited performance against Doncaster 7ths, but returned from South Yorkshire with a 2-0 defeat.
