Gainsborough Trinity travel to mid-table Nuneaton Town on Saturday striving to collect all three points to keep them clear of the drop zone.
Boss Dave Frecklington was far from happy with his side’s performance in the 1-0 home defeat to Curzon Athletic at the weekend.
He has brought in former Lincoln United skipper Michael Jacklin to help bolster the Holy Blues defence.
Frecklington said: “Michael is a leader first and foremost. He is a physical presence, a man mountain in fact.
“He leads by example and is the type of character who will run through brick walls for you.
” Playing here will give him the opportunity to show case his talents. As a player he demands respect and shows great authority in his play.
“If I didn’t think he could play at this level, I would not have brought him to the club and to me that speaks volumes of how highly I regard Michael.”
