RUGBY: LINCOLN STEAMING TOWARDS TITLE

There are only six matches remaining in the Midlands 3 East ( North) League and it looks likely the title will be heading towards the beautiful city of Lincoln.

After 16 league matches Lincoln sit top of the table on 73 points, 18 ahead of second-placed Belper.

A League and Cup double is also on the cards after the Lincoln 1st XV hammered Stamford 50-21 in the semi-final of the Lincolnshire Cup at the weekend.

Simon Green’s men are at home to local rivals Mansfield at 3pm this Saturday striving to strengthen their grip on the league title.
