LINCOLN 10K TRAINING PLAN

There are only five weeks to go before the gun goes off for the start of one of the biggest sporting events in the county.

The Lincoln 10k comes to town on 2nd April and runners of all abilities are focusing their efforts on the big day.

At this stage,¬†someone classed as an ‘improver’ as opposed to a beginner or advanced runner should be looking at a programme based around the following schedule:

Monday: 35 minutes easy run

Tuesday: 10 min easy, 4×3 min tempo, 2 min jog recovery, 10 min easy.

Wednesday: Rest

Thursday: 20 min easy

Friday: Rest

Saturday: 80 min easy or 5K race

Sunday: Rest

Schedule ‘Four Weeks To Go’ will be posted on Monday.
