Lindum Hockey club made it three wins and a draw in last weekend’s fixtures.

The Men’s 1st Team made the short trip to Chapeltown who beat them 5-4 earlier in the season.

The hosts took a two-goal lead but Lindum fought back to score three on the bounce before the break after Louie Sadler tapped in from close range, a Rob Johnstone equaliser and a George Johnstone strike following great work from Harry Swift and James Dewhurst.

Rob Johnstone hit his second after half time then turned provider for Sadler’s second strike.

Once again Chapeltown reduced the arrears before Matt Ingram fired into the bottom corner.

It ended up a hard-fought 6-5 victory for the Lindum outfit.

The Men’s Fourth Team beat the University of Lincoln 2nds 2-1.

The Ladies’ 4th Team drew 2-2 with the University of Lincoln Ladies’ 2nds after the students grabbed a late equaliser.

The Ladies’ Fifth Team continued their fine season with a 4-0 win over Hull University 3rds.

Hannah Abrahaley scored twice with Emma Wright and Eleanor Carter adding to the Lindum tally.

The result leaves the Fifths second in the league with three games remaining.

Promotion beckons.
