Every Lincoln City fan was hoping for a home tie from last night’s draw.

However it did not turn out that way after Robbie Savage selected ball seven to send the Imps to Turf Moor in the Fifth Round of the FA Cup.

I actually think this is quite a favourable draw.

Let’s be realistic. To be matched up against a top side in London or Manchester may have been a bridge too far.

True, Burnley are a Premier League outfit.

However they don’t boast a plethora of world-class superstars.

Danny Cowley’s men have a better chance of getting something out of this fixture rather than an away day at Old Trafford.

One thing is for sure. You can bet that Sean Dyche won’t field a weakened squad.

He would have learned the lessons from the Brighton and Ipswich debacles.

I look forward to this encounter with confidence.

It certainly shouldn’t be classed as a day out for fans.

I would say it’s a game that can be won and I expect the Imps to return with the spoils.
