Lincoln-born Sam Robinson is returning to European golf following a six-month absence due to a serious muscle injury.

Thirty-five-year-old Sam started playing golf at the age of 10 and soon became proficient at the game.

He started winning junior championships three years’ later and by the age of 17 he was playing off scratch.

Sam turned professional in 2005 inspired by his boyhood hero, Nick Faldo.

Since then Sam has played in Mauritius, Morocco, China and all over Europe.

Yet professional sport is not all glamour and fast cars.

Tiger Woods and company may lead the life of sporting superstars but at the other end of the scale, making ends meet is the biggest challenge.

Travel, accommodation and entry fees all have to be met and ironically earnings on the circuit just about cover these costs.

Sam Robinson admits things are tough financially.

SportsLinc has teamed up with Sam to seek sponsors so he can continue his career without having the worry of paying the costs that come the way of a professional sportsman.

The benefits to local businesses for sponsoring Sam include individual coaching, hospitality days and a company logo projected throughout Europe.

Equally important is the image that Sam can project for your company and for the beautiful city of Lincoln.
