Lincoln United lost their fifth game in a row on Saturday when they went down 3-2 at Sheffield FC.
Boss Big Sam Wilkinson told Sportslinc what is going wrong.
He said: “Saturday was another defeat and another game we should have got something from in the end.
“But we defended terribly and you can’t concede three goals and expect to win a game.
“We looked very nervy at the back which is understandable after the heavy defeat against Shaw Lane but it is not acceptable.
“I can’t fault the effort and commitment. We just made some bad decisions defensively as a group.
“Going forward we looked a threat all game and we had some very good chances plus one golden chance in the last minute to equalise but it wasn’t to be.
“We need to improve quickly. We have defended well all season apart from the last two games so we know we have got what it takes but we need to show it tomorrow against Witton Albion.
“If we defend as badly as we did on Saturday we won’t stand a chance.
“I believe we have got two games to save our season to give us a chance because if we don’t pick up at least four points we won’t be making the play-offs.
“But there’s still a long way to go and lots of points to play for. I know the lads will give it everything they can to try and turn this bad run into a good one.
“We just need to learn from our mistakes, stick together, keep believing in ourselves, keep working hard and grind out some results.”
ALWAYS LOOK ON THE WHITE SIDE OF LIFE.
