‘IMPVASION’ PRAISED BY DANNY COWLEY

The highest number of away fans to visit Portman Road since it became an all-seater stadium in 1992 made the three-hour trek across to East Anglia yesterday to see their side almost snatch victory over Championship outfit Ipswich Town.

The ‘Impvasion’ consisted of 4,838 Lincoln City fans who took the Suffolk town by storm.

In an emotional tribute to the travelling hordes, Imps’ boss Danny Cowley said: “If we can be as half as good as our supporters we will be one hell of a team.”
