SportsLinc caught up with Whites’ boss Sam Wilkinson earlier today to get his views on the Spalding defeat and how his side are going to tackle Loughborough Dynamo on Monday.
He said: “Hopefully we will return to winning ways on Monday.
“They have just appointed a new manager and lost 5-1 last night.
“We will attack right from the start. We won’t be sitting off them and allow them to play.
“There hasn’t been too much wrong in our last couple of games.
“However we need to deliver more crosses into the box.
“The stats show that we score more goals when we hit crosses into the opposition penalty area.
“We need to get more players into the box. Midfielder Andy Toyne joins the forwards up there but we need four bodies in the box.
“We need to ask more questions of teams.
“Full back Callum Ward has been given a licence to go forward more which he has started to do.
“We don’t want to just lump the ball up. We want to whip the crosses in.
“This is nothing new. It’s just something we want to reiterate to the players.
“We are halfway through the season but haven’t scored enough goals.
“My New Year wish is to keep doing what we are doing and aim for the play-offs.”
