WHITES AIM TO MOVE FORWARD AFTER DEFEAT AT SPALDING

SportsLinc caught up with Lincoln United assistant manager Chris Hall yesterday to get his thoughts on the game.

He said: ” Some of the players were down.

“It’s frustrating to come here and lose by a goal like that.

“Our skipper Michael Jacklin has not put a foot wrong all season and his back-pass produced a freakish goal.

“To lose like that is frustrating.

“We hit the post in the latter stages. They had a good chance in the second half but other than that they didn’t really trouble us.

“We huffed and puffed in the last third and maybe our quality of putting balls into the box wasn’t quite there.

“Their centre halves were good and won their fair share of the ball in the air.

“They defended for their lives so credit to them.

“It’s a difficult place to come to and with a pitch like this you’re not going to get a game of football.

“We play Basford on Thursday and need to go out there and put things right.

“The players have done superbly well all season.

“We now need to get back to winning ways starting on Thursday.”

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE WHITE SIDE OF LIFE.
