DEFEAT IS DISAPPOINTING BUT NOT A DISASTER

“When we win we don’t get too high.

“When we lose we don’t get too low”.

Those are the words that Imps’ boss Danny Cowley would have told his players after yesterday’s result at Guiseley.

He and brother Nicky will reflect on the game and evaluate what went wrong during training this week.

Actually things could have been a lot worse because results for the other title-chasing teams, apart from Tranmere, went in Lincoln City’s favour.

Dagenham and Redbridge and Forest Green also lost while Barrow and Dover could only draw.

The Sincil Bank outfit remain second with a game in hand over Tranmere.

Cowley said: “We have to reflect on this result and get ready for New Year’s Day.

“We are disappointed that our unbeaten run is over but now we aim to start a new one.”
