WHITES REMAIN IN DRIVING SEAT FOR PLAY-OFF PLACE

A magnificent 2-1 win at Romulus yesterday boosted Lincoln United’s chances of clinching the final play-off spot in the Evo-Stik Division One (South) League.

Goals from Sean Wright and Matt Cotton retained the Whites’ recent winning ways and hoisted them up to a tally of 70 points, three clear of nearest rivals Chasetown.

Dave Frecklington’s men host Rugby Town at the Sun Hat Villas on Tuesday evening and complete the season’s fixtures when they entertain sixth-placed Chasetown next Saturday.

Boss Frecklington said: “Whatever happens with two to play these Lincoln United boys are a pleasure to manage.”
