Are you one for looking at facts and figures?
Let me analyse one or two which explain why Lincoln City sit top of the National League.
I will start with the obvious one: the Imps have accrued 52 points, two more than second-placed Tranmere Rovers.
Secondly they have more wins than any team in the division, a total of 16.
Thirdly they top the goal-scoring charts with a total of 51 strikes.
Finally only Barrow have lost fewer games.
So much for statistics but what about the supporters?
Yesterday’s table-topper against Tranmere attracted the highest attendance in the League with a total of 6,335 fans cheering on their respective teams.
Incidentally only Doncaster and Portsmouth bettered this figure in the whole of Division Two.
Facts and figures don’t lie but it is the personnel on and off the pitch who matter.
SportsLinc will look at this aspect of the Imps’ success so far this season tomorrow.
