HOCKEY: LADIES LOSE BUT STILL HAVE PROMOTION IN SIGHTS

Ladies’ 2nd Team

In what turned out to be a frustrating encounter on the coast the Lindum Ladies’ 2nds went down 3-0 to Bridlington in the YHA Women’s Division1.

However the Lincoln outfit remain in contention for yet another back-to-back promotion which is the target for the second half of the campaign.

Men’s 3rd Team

Stu Kirk scored twice from penalty corners to give the Men’s 3rds a point after dominating the game they should have won against Wakefield 3.

The 3rds sit sixth in the table just four points off the promotion spots at the halfway stage of the season.

Ladies’ 3rd Team

Poppy Buckley and Lindsay Pritchard ensured a 2-1 win for the Ladies’ 3rds against Slazengers 3 in the YHA Women’s Division 4 match.

Kerry Rough’s team are doing all they can to secure promotion with Lindsay Pritchard leading the way after scoring her eighth goal of the season so far.

More Lindum hockey round-up tomorrow.
