Chris Froome won the Tour de France this year for the third time and yet his endeavours have been ignored by the BBC.
Froome has not been nominated to compete in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year jolly.
Ok he is certainly no Sir Bradley Wiggins when it comes to personality and quirkiness.
And yes he is totally focused on his sport and not much else.
But if we are talking achievements and rewards for such efforts as winning one of the world’s most famous sporting events surely he should not be ignored………..again.
Is it because he was not born in this country but still holds a British passport?
Is it because he lives in Monaco?
As a television viewer you pay your licence fee and have your opinion and therefore you can judge.
I’m not exactly sure if this philosophy applies to the BBC?
If they are judging on race or lifestyle, which I hope they aren’t, they should put their house in order.
Auntie, please explain in plain English why one of the best sportsman in the world with both international and Olympic successes has not been nominated for your prestigious award.
