SPORTSLINC’S WEEKEND PREDICTIONS

Lincoln City

The Imps are flying. Unbeaten in 12 games, the National League’s top-scorers at home and away are full of confidence after victories at Forest Green Rovers and York City.

There can only be one result although it must be noted that Maidstone have a decent away record.

Nevertheless with Danny Cowley’s men in full cry I’ve got to go for a home win.

Prediction: Lincoln City 3 Maidstone United 0

Lincoln United

These are exciting times for the Ashby Avenue outfit.

A tough game at Kidderminster Harriers in the third qualifying round of the FA Trophy this afternoon.

However it must be remembered the Whites have already taken the scalps of Lincoln City, Gainsborough and Nuneaton Town in other cup competitions so far this season.

All is not lost and their opponents today need to be aware of United’s track records in cups matches.

Prediction: A goalless draw leading to a replay on Tuesday evening at the Sun Hat Villas.

Spalding United

Third-placed Spalding travel to mid-table Basford United aiming to put the blips of recent weeks behind them.

Dave Frecklington’s men have been training extra hard this week to return the Tulips back to winning ways.

Basford are 11 points behind Spalding and I expect that gap to increase to 14 today.

Prediction: Basford United 1 Spading United 3

Good luck to all our local teams. Enjoy your day.
