LINDUM HOCKEY: FIRST TEAM GO DOWN IN BRUISING ENCOUNTER

Men’s 1st Team

Matt Ingram suffered a broken jaw at Didsbury Northern 1 at the weekend.

The unbeaten table-toppers overcame Lindum 1st team 5-2 in what turned out to be an end-to-end spectacle.

Gary Johnson and Harry Swift grabbed the Lindum goals.

Next up is Newcastle University at home Saturday 1.30pm.

Ladies’ 1st Team

Sibyl Gassner scored Lindum’s goal in the 1-1 draw against the Cambridge University 2 youngsters.

The result keeps the Lincoln outfit mid-table in the league.

Lincoln face the long trek to Lowestoft at the weekend.

Men’s 2nd Team

The Lindum side went down 4-1 at home to Bradford 1 in what turned out to be a disappointing performance.

Defeat ended a recent good run of form.

There will be an opportunity to make up for this performance at Grimsby this weekend.

Ladies’ 2nd Team

The Ladies’ 2nds regained their winning early season form with a convincing 3-1 victory over Slazengers 2.

Jo Siddans, Charlotte Simpson and Alex Carlin grabbed the goals.

This weekend the Lincoln Ladies face second-in-the-table Driffield 2nds.

Victory in Yorkshire would put them in second spot.
