LINCOLNSHIRE BOMBERS BROUGHT DOWN TO EARTH

The American football season kicked off in Lincoln on Sunday when the Lincolnshire Bombers opened their campaign against the Staffordshire Surge.

The home team  made too many basic mistakes and went down 26-8 and now aim to recover quickly in their next match at local rivals Humber Warhawks this Sunday.

The Bombers were founded in 2005 by former R.A.F member, Ian Bushell and the club now boasts three teams at Under 16, U19 and Senior levels.

Barry Howorth, Marketing Manager of the Bombers said that he is always looking to add new players to the squad.

He said:”It doesn’t matter how good a player you are so long as you give it everything you can.

“We are here to give anyone who wants the chance to play American football.”

You can hear Barry talk American football on Sirenfm’s sports programme ‘Mix and Match’ on 107.3fm or sirenonline.co.uk  this Saturday between 3-5pm.
