HOCKEY: LINDUM MEN’S 3RD TEAM STILL IN PROMOTION HUNT

Men’s 3rd Team

Despite going into a two-goal lead the Lindum outfit allowed Leeds Adel 2 to escape back up the A1 with a 2-2 draw.

Goals from George Denham and Will O’Sullivan secured the vital point.

The result puts drops the 3rds to fourth place in the league though dreams of promotion are still being maintained.

Ladies’ 3rd Team

The Lincoln Ladies suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of unbeaten Dronfield 1.

Charlotte Pell-Reynolds grabbed the goal for Lindum but the visitors went on to a convincing 3-1 win.

The result sends the 3rds down to third place though they still have a game in hand on the team immediately above them.

Men’s 4th Team

The Lincoln team travelled to Huddersfield Dragons 3 finding themselves being slayed in the first half after conceding five goals.

However after the break the Lindum side rallied somewhat to produce a near-respectable final score-line of 5-2.

Ben Nicholson and Andy Wright struck the visitors’ goals but the result means the Men’s 4th Team slide to within two points of the drop zone.

Men’s 4th Team (Sunday League)

It turned out to be a bad weekend for the Men’s 4th team as they went down 6-4 at home to Hull University 2.

The home side surrendered a two-goal lead and found themselves on the receiving end of six without reply.

Matt Igoe and Phee Harrison pulled two goals back but to no avail.

Kurtis Nelson and Kristian Nelson were the other scorers for the home side.
