FA CUP WINDFALL?

There are two very good reasons for televising the Lincoln City – Oldham 2nd Round Tie on Monday, 5th December.

First of all it has the potential to bring in a windfall of around £132,00 for the Imps.

This is made up of television rights and income from the gate. A bonus would be a further £27,000 for a win!

The second and equally important reason is that it is Christmas Market weekend in our beautiful city.

Saturday 3rd will see an influx of 50,000 visitors so the question asked is: would the police be able to patrol the market and the football ground (possibly 4,000 fans) at the same time?

It’s a no-brainer really for BT, the FA and the Police Authorities.

I rest my case.
