Lincoln City can be rightly proud of its loyal supporters.

Saturday’s attendance against Altrincham topped 3,529 which was the highest attendance for a non-league club in the First Round of the this year’s Emirates FA Cup.

In fact it was the 10th highest gate overall including Football League outfits.

It will be interesting to see who the Imps draw in the second round.

A home tie would be very agreeable.

A home tie against the lowest side in the competition would be a bonus.

A home tie against one of the big boys like Sheffield United would produce a bumper gate.

A home tie with a win would secure £27,500.

Do you get the idea that I would prefer a home tie?
