THE THOUGHTS OF BIG SAM WILKINSON

Lincoln United travelled to Belper last night in a league match and came away with a 0-0 draw.

This is what Whites’ boss Sam Wilkinson thought of the game.

He said: “A point away from home is a good one but we wanted more.

“However we didn’t deserve to win.

“Belper shaded it in what was a dull and boring game.

“We didn’t play anywhere near like we did on Saturday.

“We didn’t pass it well enough or play with a high enough tempo.

“Our creative players had an off night but I am delighted with the way we defended as a team and after all one point is better than none.

“The lads know we have to improve on last night’s performance if we want to climb the table but that’s three unbeaten.

“If we win at Carlton Town on Saturday that will be four points from two away games which would be a good return.”

The Whites are 19th in the table after 10 games but have five games in hand on most of the other teams in the league.

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE WHITE SIDE OF LIFE.
