FIRST WIN FOR NETTLEHAM UNDER 18s

It may have taken seven games but the Nettleham U18s finally grabbed all the points with a stunning 3-0 victory at Sleaford Town yesterday.

A Callum Gray hat trick sealed an outstanding performance by Scott Russell’s young charges who go into next weekend’s match at bottom-of-the-table Metheringham full of confidence.

The win was even more impressive given that the regular keeper had to drop out at the last minute through illness to be replaced by outfield player Jack Rember who managed to keep the first clean sheet of the campaign.

Boss Scott Russell said: ” It was a very pleasing performance.

“We should have a couple of new players signed on next week and a couple returning from injury.”
