RETURN TO RUNNING: REVIEW OF WEEK ONE

I feel a lot better already both physically and mentally.

The fact I am back in training and losing weight are good for the soul.

Cutting out chips, chocolate and cheese has been easier than I thought.

What’s more I don’t miss the one inch thick slices of toast I used to devour.

The actual running is hard work but then again it should be.

However the programme I am following puts me under no undue pressure.

My back is fine. No signs of sciatica.

This week I will up the mileage but only slightly.

The main thing is that I am already feeling the benefits of once again pounding the pavements.
