After Saturday’s horror show at Loughborough when Lincoln United went down 2-1 to the team sitting  second-bottom in the league, Dave Frecklington’s men have the chance to redeem themselves when they take on promtion rivals Leek Town tomorrow evening.

The Whites sit sixth in the table one point and one place above tomorrow’s opponents and a win would send the Ashby Avenue outfit  back into the play-off positions.

Boss Frecklington said:”This match will have a big bearing on our season. There’s no bigger incentive for our players to travel to Leek on a Tuesday night knowing a win would take us back in the top five.

“We aim to put in a workmanlike effort but after Saturday’s defeat we have to improve our work rate, quality on the ball as well as creating more chances.

“We have not had any great performances of late so it will be the perfect opportunity for the players to show the passion and energy they have shown throughout the season.”
