THE THOUGHTS OF BIG SAM ABOUT VICTORY OVER ROMULUS

Last night’s 3-1 win at Romulus in the FA Trophy ensured Lincoln United still have a foothold in three cup competitions.

The Whites can now focus on the most famous competition of them all; the FA Cup on Saturday at home to Spennymoor Town.

SportsLinc caught up with Whites’ boss Sam Wilkinson to get his thoughts about last night’s superb outcome.

He said: “It was a brilliant result.

“We weren’t at our best but the character and the spirit was a different class.

“It was a tough game physically and they are such a hard team to play against.

“They matched our work rate but our quality shone through in the end.

“I am so pleased for the lads and for Sam Mullarkey for getting his goals.

“He’s been playing well but just hasn’t had the rewards.

“There ¬†was no way we were coming away from there last night without the win.

“Our fitness levels are exceptional and it’s now eight unbeaten.

“That sets us up for a huge game on Saturday.”

ALWAYS LOOK ON THE WHITE SIDE OF LIFE.
