Sometimes you take part in an event which inspires you to do more.

One such occasion happened to me last week during the Lincoln Half Marathon.

I ran the race and  interviewed numerous runners before, during and after the 13.1 miles course that took us round the beautiful city of Lincoln.

You can hear their inspiring stories on this website.

What motivated me most though was the need to recommence training, shed a few pounds and start competing in races again.

Former London Marathon winner, Mike Gratton kindly gave me some tips about training and diet.

Today I started. No pressure. No real targets. Just lose weight and start running again.

I feel better already!
