The mother and daughter team of Wendy Dunham and Amy Wright gained more show jumping success at Elm’s Farm, ┬áCaythorpe yesterday when they came in 3rd and 4Th respectively in their classes.

Wendy scored a clear round on her horse Cruise in the 12-fence event whilst in the next competition Amy, riding Jasmine also went clear to finish fourth.

Wendy said: ” At first Cruise was a bit naughty and wasn’t concentrating.

“In the second event he settled down and I was pleased with his performance even though we did have one fence down.

“Our instructor Emma Elliott has decided that we should move up to the next class and jump bigger fences.

“She believes we are ready to do that and said it will also make Cruise and Jasmine concentrate better.”

Wendy and Amy are next in action in the cross country section of the Hunter Trials in South Elkington on Sunday.

You can listen to Wendy and Amy on Mix and Match: Extra time on Siren 107.3 FM or between 8-10 pm this evening when they will be talking all about their riding careers.
